Meet the Jury
For the first Mr. Reykjavík Bear Contest, we handpicked a jury rooted in the local and international communities. They are!

Alex Fortes is the current reigning Mr. Bear Europe 2025 and the former Mr. Lisbon Bear Pride.
A regular at RVKBear, Alex is based in London, born in Galicia (Spain) with family roots in Portugal.
Joining us for the 4th time, plus a Bears on Ice edition, he has taken part in many European bear events as contestant, titleholder, and jury member, highlighting organizers’ work and promoting accessibility and inclusivity.

With a professional background in music and performance Hafsteinn’s focus is always on inclusion, participation and joy, while his passions lie in social interactions, music and storytelling.
He has participated in many aspects of the community. From touring Iceland as a judge and performer in one of the first drag queen competitions in Iceland, co-founding the first queer sports team in Iceland to fronting the first publicly gay nightclub in Iceland.
Hafsteinn has been a judge in various singing competitions as well as the first Mr. Gay Iceland competition but has also participated in various bear and fetish events locally and abroad. He has performed at Reykjavik Pride on numerous occasions, premiering the first theme song for pride in 2003, the Icelandic version of “I am what I am”.
He loves a good competition, especially Eurovision, coming in 3rd in the national selection of Iceland in 2007 performing his own song “Þú tryllir mig” and also performing with the Icelandic entry in Sweden in 2016 “I hear them calling”. He loves to be on stage and to see others blossom doing their thing.

Kevin is the current Mr Bear Belgium and lives in the northern part of Belgium, near Antwerp.
In the past year he has been proudly representing the Belgian Bear Community across many countries in Europe.
During his travels, he has learned a lot more about what the Bear Community is all about, a Community of love and friendship.
Kevin aims to bring those values with him wherever he goes.

Margrét Erla Maack, better known as Miss Mokki, is Iceland’s “First Lady of Burlesque” and the country’s only full-time burlesque performer. After performing in New York in 2007, she pioneered the Icelandic burlesque scene, founding shows like Reykjavík Kabarett, Skinnsemi with Sirkus Íslands, and Kjallarakabarett at the National Theater. She has performed internationally at venues such as The Slipper Room, House of Yes, Club Cumming, and Melt Bar, and has toured across Europe and the USA.
In 2018, she joined the Rocky Horror Show ensemble at Reykjavík City Theater and currently appears in the musical Þetta er Laddi. Most recently, she produced Briefs Factory: Dirty Laundry for Reykjavík Pride in collaboration with the Australian boylesque collective Briefs. Beyond burlesque, she is a celebrated journalist and TV host with two Icelandic TV awards, and she co-hosted the Icelandic Theater Awards in 2017.
A strong advocate for body positivity, Mokki is also a dance teacher and choreographer, having taught at Kramhúsið since 2004 and earning the Icelandic Dance Award for Best Teacher in 2014.

Per Helge became the very first Mister Fetish Europe last year, after being Mr. Leather Norway 2019. From the Arctic he reaches out across Europe with messages of diversity and inclusion, respect and freedom for the greater fetish community.
Always a leather man, Per Helge also cares for a broad scope of fetishes and the understanding between them. He invites fellow fetishists to celebrate the Arctic Pride in his hometown Tromsø, the only fetish event to include dogsledding and northern lights watching, with another goal to increase visibility and sexual diversity in society at large.
Per Helge is a natural scientist and a museum communicator, he enjoys mountain hiking (preferably naked), he is a lifetime member of the Tom of Finland foundation, and he’s been judging a number of leather contests, including the International Mister Leather contest in Chicago.
