Meet the jury

Alex was named Mr Bear Europe 2025 in July and was previously Mr. Lisbon Bear Pride 2024.

An active member of Bangsafélagið, the non-profit running Reykjavík Bear, Alex has been an important advocate for our event and the Bears of Iceland. While campaigning for Mr. Bear Europe 2025, he organized multiple fundraisings for community projects, notably his campaign raffle at the benefit of the Bears of Poland and Iceland.

We are honoured to have him in our Jury for Reykjavík Bear 2025!

Hafsteinn is a trailblazing Icelandic performer, opera singer, and songwriter who has left a bold mark on the country’s queer culture.

Notably, he adapted and sang the queer anthem I Am What I Am into Icelandic (Ég er eins og ég er), affirming his commitment to visibility and self-expression. In the early 2000s, he has brought drag shows across the country, echoing the spirit of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – with more snow and fewer Hugo Weavings.

Hafsteinn is also active in Iceland’s leather and fetish community, embracing kink culture with creativity and pride.

Kevin earned the title Mr. Belgium Bear in October 2024 for the year 2025.

Since then, he has represented his community all around Europe at multiple events.

Competing in the race to become Mr Bear Europe 2025, Kevin finished in the final top 5!

Margrét is Iceland’s undisputed queen of burlesque and a pioneering force behind the art form in the country. She founded Reykjavík Kabarett in 2016, and regularly performs internationally, including at venues in New York, Copenhagen, and Seattle.

Beyond burlesque, she is a celebrated media personality with two Icelandic TV awards and a long career in journalism and television. She’s also an award-winning dance teacher, columnist, and one half of the DJ and cabaret duo Hits & Tits.

A queer ally and passionate advocate for body positivity, she uses her platform to celebrate self-expression and inclusivity.

Per Helge is a prominent figure in the European queer and fetish community, crowned Mr. Leather Norway in 2019, 2020 and later Mr. Fetish Europe 2024.

As recipient of Norway’s leather title, he has used his platform to champion diversity, inclusion, and respect across the fetish spectrum. In his work with Arctic Pride in Tromsø, he blends fetish culture with regional identity to elevate fetish visibility.

He has also served as a judge at major events like International Mr. Leather, bringing a wealth of experience and advocacy to the stage. Beyond titles, Per Helge fosters community through outreach and public engagement, bridging queer, academic, and fetish spaces in meaningful ways.
